Collection of Data:

The term questionnaire is often used interchangeably with survey. It is common and easy method of data collection in action research. Similarly, it is quickest, cheapest, confidential method of collecting data from respondents. The data was collected through well-structured research tool (Interview schedule). So in such type studies, it is very necessary during development of measurement tool for quality data to keep all aspects in mind. Quantitative method was used to get important and meticulous information. Information was collected through questionnaire consisting only close ended questions relative to research objectives. The close ended questionnaire was made for data collection.

Research Instruments

Research instruments are a way of gathering data concerning the research focus. Gathering data using different research instruments is in fact creating different ways to study the social event being researched.

Questionnaire

Questionnaires are a convenient way of collecting data from a large number of individuals. In this study, I developed the questionnaire to obtain data on the effect of professionalism in the development of student’s learning attitude at secondary level. 

 

 

Reliability and Validity

Reliability and validity are important aspects of selecting a survey instrument. Reliability refers to the extent that the instrument yields the same results over multiple trials. Validity refers to the extent that the instrument measures what it was designed to measure.

Data collection is the process of gathering and measuring information on targeted variables in an established system, which then enables one to answer relevant questions and evaluate outcomes to answer the research problem. 9. What were the findings and conclusion? (Provide instruments and analysis as appendix) (10 marks)

Teacher professionalism plays a significant role in promoting social-emotional learning in schools. Teacher professionalism found to possess a higher level of morality; to communicate more successfully with their students; to encourage them to forge empathic relationships; and to successfully motivate their students. The participants of the study were grade 10 students who were enrolled in Government High School Lehri, Tehsil Sohawa, District Jhelum.  

Main finding of my study

Students obtain socialization skills from teacher’s professionalism that establish the future socialization. Teacher’s professionalism encourages students to avoid bullying and promote punctuality. Teacher’s professionalism affects the children’s personality development process in a positive way. Teacher’s professionalism encourages students for activity based learning. Huge majority were believed that often Teacher’s professionalism encourages students to learn difficult mathematical concept. Children get supporting attitude from teachers to reduce exam anxiety. Teacher’s professionalism encourages students to learn difficult science subjects

Conclusion

I find that the teacher prepares the lesson; the children receive a supportive attitude and learn good manners in the learning process. Teacher's professionalism encourages students to work on time to avoid absentees. Teachers professionalism positively impacts on the personality development of children. The students believed that the professionalism of the teachers encouraged them to learn a difficult mathematical concept. Teachers receive a supportive attitude from teachers to reduce exam anxiety. Teacher professionalism encourages students to study difficult science subjects. Teacher teaching professionalism plays an important role in developing your learning attitude at the secondary level.

Recommendations

Basing on the findings and conclusions of the study, the following recommendations were enlisted:

  1. Teacher should be trained on how to develop children personality  in a short time period

2.      Teacher plays a vital role play in the personality development. So it’s very important for parents to give due consideration and important to their daughters education.

3.      Teacher should have friendly behavior with their students. Sometimes Teacher thinks that they should keep a distance with their students and should not mix up with them like a friend because it is against their relational dignity. But they are wrong, because they don’t analyze the fact that the gap between Teacher and students a negative impact on their personality.

     Professionalism is a set of attitudes and behaviors appropriate for a particular profession or occupation. It is a demonstration of certain characteristics or traits in a profession. Attitudes on the other hand are positive or negative views of a person about a place, thing or a phenomenon. Teachers play a significant role in creating the learning environment and cultivating the classroom climate for their students’ learning, including being responsive to their needs and concerns. Thus, teacher professionalism is a required teaching skill which promotes a positive learning environment.
